NWFS has a team of professional and dedicated youth and family educators who give classroom presentations in the greater Portland, Oregon, area on any of the topics and issues described under “Youth Development.” These presentations can be a supplement to health, personal development, and family life classes both at the middle and high school levels. Presentations are designed to be educational and interactive, and can be tailored to fit a particular class’ needs.

General topics include:

  • Love and Logic Parent
  • Drug and violence prevention
  • Gangs and violence
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Youth Empowerment
  • Girls’ Clubs

A typical middle school class presentation might include:

  • Setting safe boundaries
  • Identifying and maintaining positive goals
  • Recognizing and resisting pressure,
  • Playing the Consequence Dice Game, and
  • Learning about the freedoms that come with a commitment to abstinence.
