NWFS has a commitment to bringing evidence-based resources so that parents have the skills and support they need. We recognize that parents love their children, but sometimes need some extra help and support. Our classes are offered in English and Spanish.

Workshop Topics

Bringing Baby Home® – couples learn about child development as well as how to manage the changes their child will bring to their relationship and life.

Parenting is a Pleasure (ages 0-6)-a skill-based program which covers child development along with important skills to manage the pre-school time.

Love and Logic® – provides parents with easy-to-use techniques to enhance responsibility in your children.

Mother-Daughter, Father-Son – a seminar program aimed at pre-puberty children and their parents covering the changes that puberty brings. A great bonding opportunity

Transitions is a series of workshops that arms parents with information about the teen years and provides parents with skills and tools to manage these sometimes challenging years. From sexting to dating, this workshop covers it all.

Fatherhood: Tools of the Trade – this workshop covers Why dads are so important, understanding yourself and your role, balancing work and family, and effective communication tools for having healthy relationships
