Patricia Mackie is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern (LPCi) through the state of Oregon, she has a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL (2006). She previously practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Illinois. Patricia has a wide background of working with couples, individuals, children, adolescents, and families. She utilizes multiple methodologies in her clinical work, including Gottman Marital Therapy Methods, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Systems Theory, Existential Therapies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Attachment Theory, all based on a Rogerian client-centered model.
Patricia manages the pre-marriage preparation program for NWFS and counsels couples, families, and individuals.
I believe that clients are responsible for their own growth and can use me as a tool to learn new skills and gain insight into their behavior. I enjoy working with clients to set personal goals and walk along a path towards healing.
