NWFS provides a continuum of services for middle school, high school, post-secondary, and employment. These services are currently offered at Centennial Middle School, Reynolds Middle School, Centennial High School, Reynolds High School, and Mt Hood Community College. The goal of these services is to increase youths’ resiliency and employability skills and prevent truancy, dropping out, mental health issues, substance use, delinquency and poverty. Services are available in English and Spanish.

Case Management

Middle School -  Our case managers offer support to students around removing social and academic barriers to education, connecting the student to activities and resources within the school, promoting consistent attendance, developing good study habits, and learning skills to resist negative peer pressure and make good decisions. Our case managers collaborate with students, their families, school staff, and other service providers to be most effective.

High School we offer one-on-one case management support related to academic and career goals, decision making, healthy relationships, managing mental health symptoms and accessing counseling services, and commitment to a clean and sober lifestyle. Students learn to utilize the strengths they have to meet their goals.

GED/ Job Preparation – For those youth who are 16 to 24 and are academically behind, we support them by developing a plan to re-engage in education or work, whether that is reconnecting to high school, enrolling in GED, learning a trade, or developing employment skills and seeking employment. We currently partner with Mt Hood Community College GED program and Project YESS. Other areas of focus are mental health, prosocial skills, stress management, friend and family relationships, substance use, and healthy behaviors.

Case management for job preparation includes resume writing, interviewing skills, conducting an effective job search, applying for jobs, and exploring interests and possible career paths.
