Family Support Specialist | $20-$25/Hour
This position works with Latinx families who have been referred by the Clackamas County Department of Human Services (DHS).
What You’ll be Doing
- Receive, coordinate, and expedite service referrals for at least 54 families in order to help them navigate health, education, and other human services in Clackamas County.
- Meet with families (in-person, by phone, and/or online) to assess their current circumstances and then either provide services or refer them to the appropriate resources.
- Create, manage, and utilize multi-lateral agreements among organizations to expedite services for families.
- Conduct outreach to Latinx families who might be referred by community partners.
- Assist with the development of social supports and service connections such as food, housing, transportation, healthcare, employment, social-emotional support, etc., in order to stabilize families.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Other duties as required.
What You’ll Need
- High school diploma or equivalent. An advanced degree in Human Services, Public Administration, or Health Care Management is preferred.
- Bilingual and bicultural English/Spanish preferred.
