If you are a high school or college student in the Portland metro area and are interested in being a positive influence in your community, we would love to hear from you! We offer great volunteer and internship (both volunteer and paid) opportunities:

  • Be a part of our Youth Team! Help facilitate small groups, play games, and be a role model for one of our many programs.
  • Join our Peer Leader Program! High school students are trained to teach middle school students about navigating the transition to high school. We’re looking for outgoing teens who can be good role models and want to make a difference!
  • Join our acting troupes! Each spring and summer we audition for new members of the troupes. If you have acting experience, or think that you might be good, call NWFS to find out more!
  • If you’re a college student you may be eligible to participate in an internship and help as a tutor or mentor in one of the afterschool programs.
